Humane Society of Central Illinois
ASAP Fund

Created in September 2011, the ASAP Fund was established to provide emergency or extraordinary medical services for animals sheltered at the Humane Society of Central Illinois (HSCI). The fund helps HSCI to improve the quality of life for animals in need of urgent medical services. The fund is used for:

  • emergency veterinary care
  • heartworm-positive treatment
  • x-rays
  • diagnostic tests (blood work, urinalysis, etc.)
  • eye injuries
  • bone fractures
  • fungal infections
  • severe skin conditions
  • dental work
  • special food for orphaned kittens and puppies
  • prescription food
  • and much more

Our sincere thanks to the Donor Fund Trustees for establishing the ASAP Fund and for their continued support. The Trustees have helped HSCI provide critical medical treatment needed to prepare an animal in need for adoption. HSCI staff provides animal care until the animal is cleared by our veterinarian for adoption. Here are some of the animals that have benefited from the ASAP Fund.
