My husband met Jill one summer day when he went to HSCI to walk dogs. She was different, so well-behaved and agreeable, so lovable and sweet. She was not yet available for adoption, but luckily, HSCI agreed to allow us to adopt her as soon as she was ready to go home. She had a tapeworm when she entered HSCI so we had to wait until she was healthy enough to be released.
Over the last year and a half, Jill has gained weight, become quite the athlete (she walks six miles a day with her Mom), enjoys play (especially toys with squeakers!), and gets along wonderfully with her two cat brothers. Every evening she sits near the door and waits for her Dad's truck to pull up in the driveway after work. She is loyal, kind, forgiving, and a true best friend. We are forever grateful to HSCI for rescuing and healing our Jillian on her way to her forever home.
